My mum is gay and in love with another woman, she's nice, she makes my mum smile and I'm happy for her.
But my question is: What would you do if you found out your dad left becuase your mum liked women?

This isn't a question about wether you think it's right or what you think of gay marriage, just what would you do? How would you handle it?

Well id be upset that my dad left, but id be happy for my mom. I mean shes finally comming to terms with herself, growing as a person. Id probably talk to her about it, to get things off my cheast. Like questions or just stuff in general. But thats just me.

As the above poster has said, I'd feel somewhat odd that my dad had left my mum and I would find it equally weird to find out that my mum was gay.

I think having grown up for 18 years with a set of straight parents would just make it feel odd if that situation arises purely because I'd been used to one thing for so long. I honestly don't know if I would feel happy for either of them through it.

I think that i would be happy for her no matter what, it doesn't matter what gender she happen to fall in love with. Sure i'd find it a little weird, but being gay myself, i don't think that it would be at all bothersome. If i found out that that's why my dad left, then i'd understand, and still try to see him whenever i could, i mean, he's still my dad, even if my mum don't love him like that.

Although my parents aren't together, I'd expect my dad to leave if my parents had no relationship because my mother wanted another woman, so it wouldn't be an issue to me really, her life - let her get on with it.

I wouldn't have a problem with it. I mean my mother with another woman would be hypocritical as fuck and I'd probably blackmail her with it a bit (she's got issues with me), but if my mother was a sane woman.

To get a bit off topic, but here's a future reference for any of you in high school or college: If you have gay parents, you can get scholarships for that. Just sayin'.

i would be happy...i like to be around women more than i do men...and i would want whatever is best for my mom...i wish she would just dump my step dad and find a woman
