My doctor a couple of years ago had me take a test to see whether or not I was ADD. The funny thing was I was in there for depression. I took the test like they told me too and apperntly I am ADD. My doctor perscribed Strettera and I took it as told. But my depression seemed to worsen. My cousin told me that she was on strettera once too and that it just caused her to be depressed, so she quit taking it. I talked to my doctor about it and she took me off it but now is wanting to put me back on it. But I have to want it. I'm not sure if I do because I have gotten so depressed lately that I cut for the first time and what if the pills make me want to kill myself? What should I do?

umm to me they didn't. She told me to ahead and take two pills instead of one because one wasn't doing anything. And taking two was when my depression worsened. My doctor thinks the pills work but I don't.

Tell her that they don't and I'd ask if there was an altertnative medication that you could try.

My mom has seen this doctor for a long time and now I'm seeing her. I've never tried to see another doctor, but I can discuss it with my parents and see what they think. Because your both right I might have been misdiagnosed.

oooo, that blows:usflag: lol anyways, i have adhd, and i think there is probobly, like anthony said, a misperscription. I would either go see another doctor, or talk to that doctor aboutm it

I've never heard about that medication. Yeah I'm going back to that doctor monday so I'll talk to her about it.

O.k. I saw my doctor today and she said I wasn't misdiagnosed, and I talked to her about getting a different medication. So she put me on Concerta, it takes 30 days to work and if it does thats what I'll be on. If not then I don't know.
