Recently i have been suffering from what appear to be panic attacks. I'm not sure though, when i get these feelings it feels like im so dizzy and lightheaded and that i can't really breathe, like theres a lump in my throat. My stomach feels weird, not like im going to throw up but i feel like something horrible is going to happen and that i'm going to die. It's seriously one of the worst feelings i've ever experienced, it feels like i'm not "there" like i'm almost drifting in and out of consciousness, about to pass out. I'm usually able to calm myself down after about 15-20 minutes.

What do you think? Panic attacks or no? Also if it is can anybody give me tips on how to prevent them or stop them?

Thanks :)

It does sound like a panic attack...
If these are happening regularly you should go and see a doctor about it.
When you feel an attack coming on just try to breathe deeply and concentrate on your breathing.

This is a panic attack. The reason I'm diagnosing is because I've been diagnosed with extreme panic disorder and that's the steps I go through before I have a massive attack. You feel completely isolated yet everyones looking at you at the same time. You begin to feel like every minute lasts like ten. What I would do, is when you feel any of the symptoms, step out of wherever you are and just try to catch your breath. Tell yourself over and over that this is just an attack and it will pass. Clench your wrists together for 10 seconds and slowly release. On down time, try to figure out what's triggering your attacks. Is it the same thing everytime or is it something different? I would recommend explaining to your parents what is going on, get a psychologist considering they really help. And also, having these attacks isn't uncommon. It happens to alot of people and once you find out the basis of them or get started on a medicine, it begins to get better and easier to deal with.
