That depends, is "meat" slang for "penis"?

Peace God

It probably tastes like shit.

Neve tried never will because there is a thing called Salmonella and E Coli.

Raw meat is fine to eat, just not when it's been sitting for who knows how long. Fresh raw meat I hear is fine for you. At least Survivor Man says so, and he's still alive. :P I haven't had even cooked meat in nine years, so I wouldn't know what raw meat tastes like..

I'm flattered, but unfortunately I don't go to P101.

These comments are probably made on the assumption that raw meat is just handed to you on a plate. Actually, cooked raw meat isn't bad, but it will be a bit bloody if not cooked properly. If you cook raw meat in the correct way, which is a short amount of time, it tastes good.

Srsly, cooked raw meat. You can cook meat for just a few minutes and still have it raw. Does no one else know this?

I did. It probably wouldn't taste too bad, if you could deal with all the blood.

Well. It depends on the kind of meat.
Some raw meat smell really bad
Some are salty, most are.
Just make sure you wash it good, sometimes theres this pretty nasty stuff on it if you don't wash it.
Also like Connor said, the blood. Most people like it with more blood though, it tends to be a bigger meal.

Also known as "blue steak" Peeps will just cook the outside, and the rest will be all raw and gross.

How raw meat tastes like, if you mean "raw meat" like the horny P101ers in this thread have pointed out as penis, thats yum, now the food, when i had it, it didn't have much taste, just very soft, and gross and very wet because of the blood in the meat.

Have all the people here saying it's horrible actually eaten much raw meat? With quality meat, it's extremely tasty. Never had a good carpaccio?

Neve tried never will because there is a thing called Salmonella and E Coli.

That's not that big a danger if the meat is prepared properly.

That's not that big a danger if the meat is prepared properly. Which most likely is'nt. Thats my opinion anyways

I too was laughing at the concept of "cooked raw meat". Although I understand what was meant, it sounded like an oxymoron.

Anyway, it doesn't taste very good, too much blood for me.

Actually, "Cooked raw meat" IS an oxymoron.
:p

Still, I think the OP was referring to uncooked raw meat....
Also I question the existence of "cooked raw meat."

Raw meat is fine to eat, just not when it's been sitting for who knows how long.
I'm guessing the remains and waste of other animals at the processing plant is just so very good to eat. But you know, as long as it hasn't been sitting on the counter for a couple of hours...

But if you cook raw meat, it wont be raw anymore.

I'm guessing the correct word should be "Sanitize" instead of cooked.

I have eaten a few little bits of raw bacon, I usually cut it into little slices and put in the top of cheese on toast and cook it under the grill. The Bacon actually tastes good, I've also eaten a rare stake, that is good so long as it is drained of all the blood. Oh and raw smoked salmon slices with cream chesse on crakers is good aswell.

Oh and look I'm still alive :yeah:

Just a paradox. It just makes it a bit tolerable.

Raw meat tastes bad. With all the Salmonella and Botuli in it, and the blood. Bleh.

Kaius

It doesn't taste that bad actually. Bacon usually just tastes like cold ham and beef is really just a cold/wet/sloppier version of when its rarely cooked. I find it slightly more flavourful than when its completely cooked because theres more moisture to it.

Actually, a long long long long long long time ago, humans were actually completely and 100% capable of eating raw meat, and in fact, it's all we ate. Then, some jack wad fuck face came along and was like "Hey, I wonder what this would taste like over a fire". Then, everyone started doing it, and 1,000+ years later, they fucked us over and weakened our digestive system to the point where it CAN'T handle raw meat, and we contract diseases from it.

Fun fact for you.

Except that you don't actually get diseases from eating raw meat if it's done correctly. Otherwise, yeah.

Did I say done correctly? Nahhh, I didn't.

I mean, we could kill a cow, grab a knife, and dig in.

I've had raw ground beef before, it's actually really good with some salt, pepper and onion. They serve it like that in France :)

I'm so curious to try it too....
I tried a tiny tiny bit of raw sausage before, it rocked. But I never did it again, just in case.

It's fine as long as you know where it's from. I have no idea where there is decent meat in the States unless you go to a farmer's market or out to Montana or some such...

My mom's family is all French-Canadian- and they call partially-cooked raw meat "tartare". You literally just quickly sear the outer part of a steak and the inside is bloody. I've never had it as I actually like my food really well done (slightly on the burnt side- I'm weird, I know). But with steak, if it's been butchered properly, the inside should be sterile, while the outer portion is what contains any illness-causing bacteria. By quickly searing the top layer, it's supposed to kill the germs and make it safer to eat.

That said, I have inadvertently had semi-raw chicken nuggets from a McDonald's once- it tasted really funny, kinda chewy and nasty. And I ended up getting a really nasty strain of E. Coli and ended up in the hospital for a couple days. So I really wouldn't recommend eating any raw meats, except maybe sushi- and even then, there's a slight risk of picking up something bad.

Raw meat taste very bad. If you are very curious about the taste then try to eat one. It is nasty and stinky. Prepare yourself to puke up after it.
