Two questions really i'm wondering if we get any tracking cookies when we log onto the site and can someone explain to me what they are i think i know but i'm not too sure.

We don't use any tracking cookies. Cookies used here are only so you can login and remain logged in the site until you log out, and trivial things like your preferred style, etc.

Since Ant answered the first question, I'll answer the second.....
A tracking cookie is pretty much what is sounds like. It's a cookie that tracks what sites your browse, and reports it back to whatever site the cookie is from. Sites such as Google & Bing use the info sent back from the cookies to gear ads toward what you would want to see (So if you browse tech sites a lot, you'll get tech related ads, et cetera). Other sites, like shopping sites, can use the info to generate 'featured' lists based on what you browse. (If you browse barbie sites, for example, a lot, you may get barbie related things on the home page of shopping sites.)

So thats why facebook ads always seemed to suit me!!
