How to stay social when going to school online.

Well, I found out about a local online schooling program that I'd like to go to. It seems perfect in every way, but I'm not so sure how to stay social/make new friends when I'm going to school online. I always used the cop out of making friends at school only, so I'm not so sure how to stay social when only online.

E-mail and Facebook. With online school, you can be very prone to just live fully in your house. E-mail people, talk to them or make a Facebook, and arrange to do things with them. Find a movie both of you would like to see, and see it. Half my schooling is online, and I'm very tempted to be a hermit and never go out except for the couple days I have class. Even then, I don't have any friends in my classes, so I don't do much socializing. It's good to get out of the house once and a while.

Just go out with your mates regularly and facebook, myspace whatever

Take Rith's advice! Just find excuses to get out the house so you don't go stir crazy and you'll be fine, communication is key here I suppose (:
