So I have moderate acne I would say and I hate it does anyone know of household cures or good acne products. I really don't wanna go to the doc for it. Btw I have already tried proactive and it didn't work

well i use two products: one's a cleanser and one is to get rid/prevent acne.

noxema is the cleanser and zapzits(i think) is the acne prevention.

you can use other things but i recommend a cleaser before you put on the product. and the zapzits is just a 15% benzoyl peroxide so yeah. :) good luck. ^_^

Get some Vitamin A into your diet. I'm on some meds for acne and basically the capsule is jut alot of Vit A. I don't know where you get it from, but I do know that if you get too much your body won't use it and will store it and if it stores up too much then you could go into cardiac arrest...so be careful out there haha

I went to the doctor and tried all kinds of creams and meds. The only thing that worked for me was Accutane. But I heard it was recalled and it is a pretty intense med. Now to keep it gone I use Mary Kay Velocity face wash. So far I've had only a few pop up every once in a while.

Six months. The dryness is bad. You have to marry your chapstick. But it does work very good. You should be happy after you are done.

You should. It really is worth it. And it works best that way.

Yes asprin does reduce the swelling but it is also an anticoagulant and should not be misused. Asprine can remain in the bllod stream for a lttle while and should not be used unless advised by your physician.

I heard that Flaxseed oil and omega 3 reduce acne.

Doctor put me on high doses of vitamin A, E and omega 3 to help out mine. Worked like a charm. Also now use an astringent and cleanser

I have been to the Doc and he said that there is NO real way to get read of acne. You can put creams and med. on it to slow down the acne. But that is only One doc. You doc may say differently.

Personally I tried everything over the counter including proactive and skin iD... depending on your acne it just won't work. After 4 years of over the counter I went to a doc and he had it cured and gone forever in 6 months, including the scars I had from the beginning. Just go to the doc... he'll give you an antibiotic or a cream or both and it'll clear up much faster. When you're sick and over the counter doesn't work what do you do? Do you keep switching or just go to the doc who gives you an antibiotic and you're fine in a few days. Acne is the same thing. It is a bacterial infection of the skin and needs to be treated with an antibiotic regimen often not available over the counter.
