No offence, but many people look on them as like, a characteristic of slut or whore. It's a typical stereotype, but it's bluntly true.

Honestly, in a lot of places, that stereotype's diminished. A hickey is now either a giant sign of "Hey, I had fun!" or "I'm taken". They're also very pleasurable to give and get.
