In order not to spoil the beautiful "TESV Teaser" thread, I opened this one...

So what do you expect from Skyrim, things that you didn't find sufficient in Oblivion...
Or maybe do you want some old things again, like things from Morrowind.

When you post, could you also answer this: How do you think they solved the Emperor problem?

Here are the things I want, well I have many ideas in my mind but these are what I think at the moment:
1-More civil life!
Seriously, there were like 5 pieces of villager clothing in Oblivion and after a day with hacking&slashing I would want to experience a more civilized life. More civil clothing, better houses, more sociable citizens, more voice actors! (Seriously why the hell Baurus and a simpel Redguard have the same voices?) Bigger towns, more citizens! And seriously I dont want to hear the same "There's been some terrible trouble at Anvil chapel" rumor or after I beat the main quest "Oblivion is no more!" from different citizens.

2-Better animations, better physics...
Although Oblivion was indeed a revolution in video gaming history, Havok physics engine kinda sucked in the game. Also, we always saw the same animations. Many mods were created for increased animation types and I hope Bethesda saw at least some of them!

3-Better spells
It would be a pain in the ass to be a 100% mage. Even if you were determined to become a mage you would always have to use your sword and in the end you would see yourself in a bulky armor with a sword and rarely using spells. I know that Nords aren't good mages but I seriously want more powerful spells.

4-Weapons and Armor
There weren't too many types of Armor and Weapons. Gloves should increase melee damage in my opinion. Maybe you can cut someone's hand and they won't be able to use a sword? It was super easy to obtain the Umbra ( oh Talos, sweet Umbra... ) so it would be better if there were more unique weapons and armor with harder quests to obtain them.

5-Roleplaying
We could barely roleplay! I mean, maybe after saving the world, again, I wan't to become a peaceful bartender! Things will get complicated ,maybe, but there were very good mods for jobs in Oblivion.
It was really bad to start in a prison and modders fixed that too.
For example there was a mod that you came with a ship to Cyrodiil and you could choose a background, how wealth you were etc...

6-Horseback Fighting!
It was the most stupid thing in Oblivion. Just because a mud crab was chasing you, you had to dismount and kill the sorry bastard and mount again and go on. Horseback fighting ( maybe even combined with spears! ) would be a brand new experience!

7-Companions!
Heey! I am an Arch-Mage! And all I get is an Apprentice? No battlemage or no Raminus Polus? Maybe it would be combined with main quest line. For example after you did something in the name of the Empire or something, they would give you a "Legionnaire Sergeant" at your command and he would come with you, full battle suit! It would be very good to have a small band of my own!

8-Pitched Battles!
We only had one in Oblivion, the Great Gate quest, and we only had like 10 soldiers at our command..
I would like to see a battle line with archers and swordsmen and some cavalry, provided if they have horseback fighting!

9-Assassin stuff and better Bounty.
Dual wield swords would complete an assassins inventory, if they have the same assassin stuff from Oblivion. And come on, you kill an Imperial Ranger in a forest, nobody sees you, then you go to a town and you get arrested!!!
You kill someone, 1 second later, a guard walks next to you, and he sees the body and you next to it and says " This humble soldier is at your service! "

10-Inventory
How come you can carry 10 Daedric Armor, but then cannot pick up an apple when it is 200/200? It is ironic!
Okay, your encumberance is maybe 1000 and you have the right but come on, which being can carry 10 Armor, 10 Swords and at least a million keys and papers!?

11-Last but not least: Relations
Can't we have political relations with Counts or landlords? Like if a count likes us he will give protection or cheaper stuff from his markets? Or better relationship with citizens would mean that they will sometimes come with you for example. You can easily build up a relation from 0 to 100, which is super unrealistic. Relation could be developed, instead of completeing a quest and making your relationship much better. If you ask assistance they will give you potions or other stuff...

(There are many things on my mind but it would make the post way to long, so I would comment on your posts to express my opinions further )

As far as I know they've developed a new engine for the game, so hopefully it's more graphically appealing and can handle bigger things going on in the game without shitting itself.

here is my wish list:

1-More NPC's and better ones. There were hardly any and they did very little for you.

2-Roleplaying. The ability to get a job, get married, become count or countess of a place, things like that. it would improve the realism of it all greatly

3-Horse combat. if im on my horse on a lovely ride through the mountains, and i get attacked by an ogre, i want to fight them on my horse, not hop off then fight!!

4-Better cities. Bigger and more detalied cities, better houses and the ability to buy furniture for your house.

4.1-With homes, it should be easier to place decorations, i dont want to put a book on a table and send the pplate on that table flying across the room. You should be able to put the furniture where you want it to be!!

5-A wider selection of everyday clothes

6-More villiages in the countryside, or maybe some more farms?

6.1- more NPC's on the roads, in an entire country, i expect to see more than some soldiers and the odd traveler?

7-if i kill sombody away from civilisation, away from anything what-so-ever, i dont expect to be arrested just for talking to a soldier the next time im in town

7.1-i think there should be a quest where there is an investigation into a murder you commit and they try and track you down

8-Better companions.i want to travel with my friends.

9-Maybe the ability to set up your own villiage, you could make it a quest or something?

10-MORE VOICE ACTORS!!!!!!!!

11-The ability to customise armour, weapons and clothes

12- more side quests

- DLC that will eventually be available for PS3
- Trophies
- A reason to have Markmanship skills - Skilled sniping or whatever, bows in Oblivion where pointless
- revised justice system - casual pub fights doesn't land you in jail and how can they see me if I kill that tramp out in the wilderness
- Possible VATS system available similar to Fallout, although may not work too well with majorly melee weapons. Although each weapon (spear, sword) whatever could get it's own feature when killing with them.

But it would be morally bad if there were kids because players would surely kill them. Either them or some daedra

but make it so you cant kill them, like in fable

There's invincible children wandering the wastes in Fallout so I don't see why Elder scrolls wouldn't add them in, but I see no reason why you can't teach the brats a leason.
