how do i delete my virtual teen account?

VT seems so abandoned when I see users that never come back here and their accounts are still there.
Maybe we should have a delete account opiton

Some do come back, so deleting them even if they have said they've left, is pointless. Some people that do leave have numerous posts and deleting them would cause gaps in threads, making it impossible to understand.

When an account is deleted their posts are kept, and made "posted by guest" or as VT calls it Unregistered User (gray face).

At least thats how vB works, unless Ant has some mod :P

But yes I agree Bhan, if the person wants to come back they can. Some people come back after a year or two, so leave it there for them. If they dont come back, oh well, who cares?

I am saying that if a guy wants to leave VT completely and is sure about this, he can go to Settings menu and delete his or her account, it is that simple.

And his / her previous posts will stay the same but they will be posted by, say "Guest" or even an avatar with "Deleted User" or something like that

This does occur... Very rare on VT, but I've seen it.

Usually it depends on the circumstances and then in consideration, it will get deleted. Like you said though, it's very rare that it happens.

I think it would be a good idea to have the option of delete an account as if you become dependant on VT as a contastant way of life always having your account open is probably like sitting a bottle of vodika next and an alcaholic.

Sure it does not make the forums look nice but I think it would not make much of a big deal.
