Well I was just recently diagnosed to being bi-polar. Half of my friends don't think I am but the rest do. My doctor has me keep a mood chart everday and I have noticed that I have alot of mood swings. In one day I will go from being happy to sad, then to being angry for no reason and back to being happy or even really hyper. Just the other day I was really cheerful but by midday I was really tired and depressed. And this morning I was very angry at everybody. I am on Lithium for bi-polar but for the past 4 weeks I haven't been taking them. I just visited my doctor and I'm back on them but I'm still depressed and moody. What should I do? I mean I stopped taking them in the first place because to me they don't work!

As Anthony said you should tell your doctor before stopping medication. How long had you been taking the medication before you started not taking it?

I have been on my medications for about 2 months, then I stopped for a few weeks. I have discussed this with my doctor but she says she can't higher my dosage till she gets my lithium level. I've had blood drawn several times but the results seem to never get to her.
