Somebody you barely know?

I'm a sophomore and I like my friend's brother, who's a freshman. I've only barely been introduced by my friend, once. and that was it. I'm pretty sure he doesn't even remember. He's very cute and when I heard him talking to his friends, he seemed sweet and sincere, and really funny. I want to get to know him more.. but how? He's in NONE of my classes, and I barely see him otherwise. Maybe in the hallway or something.

Suggestions? Not to, like, jump right on it and ask him out but how to get to know him more? I'm not that shy at all, I just feel stuck.

see if he wants to maybe hang out sometime at lunch and then u guys can start up conversation and then give it some time cuz who knows maybe he will begin to develope feelings for you or maybe he already does who knows :)

Try and catch him after school? Don't make it seem like you were purposely trying to see him though. Then just start up a conversation. It can be about anything. Music, school, food, whatever :P I don't know about anyone else, but I think conversations about music are interesting, so maybe you could ask him what kind of music he likes, what bands, then you could ask him if he wants to hang out and listen to music with you. Whatever seems fun and gets you two talking to eachother :P Good luck

Well, the best tactic would be to use your friend.
Tell her that you like this boy. She'll arrange programs includig you. So he wont suspect anything and you would still see him and know him better :)

Adding onto the other ideas the guys have put up here, I'd say talking to him online is a good start. Chatting casually on some site like Facebook (I'm assuming he has one) will probably help get you guys acquainted more easily.
