Eastern time it's just 5AM, there's barely anyone on. I'm sure there would have been.

EDIT: And this happened like a half an hour ago.

Here is your explanation as well as some other words:

Irregular staff promotions are rare, but they do happen, there is no set path of promotions, they are based on need. It wasn't announced right away because it was done in the wee hours of the morning in Anthony and Ronnie's time zone.

Ronnie has been promoted for the following reasons:

1) He has a base of technical knowledge, so he will be helpful to Anthony in taking care of the site's tech aspects.

2) He's passionate about the site and genuinely cares about members, just take a look at the Psych Ward and Help & Advice.

3) He is treating this as an opportunity rather than an entitlement, as he did with his moderator promotion.

4) We find that with some training, he will be more than capable of doing the job correctly.

5) Anthony and I arn't getting any younger, we're both in our 20's, so some young and eager blood in the adminship is a healthy thing.

If you have issues with this, please contact Anthony or myself rather than stone Ronnie to death publicly. It's an injustice to Ronnie to simply complain rather than give him a chance. Take the high road, consider other view points and look at the big picture.

I'd also be more than happy to discuss this further if they wish, via PM.

Thank you for the brilliant explanation. It makes much more sense now.

Ronnie, you were chosen for all the right reasons, and it's good to see you where you wanted to be. You've always seemed good with vB, and I knew from the day you made mod that you would eventually end up red. I'm very happy for you. I know you will take pride in this and do the very best you can. I know you have it in you to fill the very big shoes that will one day be left behind. Dont let the haters bring you down.

I hope my post didn't antagonize, I saw the reasons way before you posted it Steph, but after posting.

I won't congratulate, but I'll rather wish you luck Ronnie, as one day this site might just be under your care, and dedication is something that will be needed then.

No problem Paula, I understand. There's no issues and if one day it does, I will always take pride and have the same attitude that I have and always will have. I came here to help people and that's what I'm going to do. Thank you.

I just want to make one thing clear, so hear me out everybody:

I know that this seems rash on the administration's part, and it could have been announced better. Rest assured that Ronnie is, for the most part, training for tech adminship at the moment with Ant, and with some of the more social aspects/day to day upkeep of adminship, I will be walking him through it actively each step of the way. Anthony and myself are going to by large still be at the wheel until we feel Ronnie is ready to do some independent work.

People say that the administration doesn't listen to the members. I cannot stress enough that questions and concerns can be brought to my PM inbox since a lot of people neglect that. Take advantage of it, I try to always be approachable :) I'm not perfect, but I'm not the big bad wolf either, I know that I miss some things, so do not be scared to tell me something in private, because you will not be in any trouble. So long as you have something valid, then there will be no problems. Any questions and concerns with this decision of staffing, I welcome and I will try my best to answer back to you.
