I need your advice

Okay so here is my story:
I'm 14 years old and Im really into sports and stuff. Lately I hve been noticing my best friend. He has always been there for me and I for him. I have had a secret crush on him lately but I'm not sure if I should come out to him and tell him. He has not told me about liking guys or girls but I have my suspicions.... What do u guys think I should do...it breaks my heart to not do anything

Well you could always (nonchalantly) start talking to him about relationships and how he feels or what he's really into. You could just have casual conversation with him. Even though I'm sure that if he's your best friend and you tell each other everything that if you were to come out to him, I'm sure he would accept you for who you are. That's what true friends do. Plus, later on when or after you tell him (insert sexuality here) and that he maybe the same way. You could tell him how you feel. You have to make sure you two are on the same level. Ask him what he thinks about gays and bis, if he seems very homophobic then probably best to forget it. This isnt a perfect ploy, some guys will act more homophobic than they really are to put up a smoke screen to hide their own sexuality, but all the same its all you can do really. If he seems more tolerant then think about comming out to him, but dont say anything about liking him at that point. Really if you get that far and he doesnt admit to any curiousity or anything more then the chances are he is straight.

He could well be gay or bi, but if asking straight out will just make him put the shutters up then you need to take a more subtle approach.

Some people, especially if they are more artistic than sporty, can seem a bit gay even when they arent.
