flexing arms for ppl?

i have had some people ask me to flex for them to see my muscles or even as a fake question to check for armpit hair...but they always end up complimentin me on my arms! is it normal for GUYS to do this? i mean yeah girls do it too but some guys do it and end up mad at me for being "larger" than them...this might not be puberty related but idk where else to put this.....:confused:
