Mine was OK Computer by Radiohead.
That's not much of a taste. Everyone knows about Pink Floyd and most people have heard there music. Also, if you're going to listen to Radiohead, explore there lesser known albums like Hail To The Thief and Kid A. They're better and more experimental. Also, Thom Yorke has a solo album out. That's really good.
along with Insurgentes by Steven Wilson (9/10).
Insurgentes is better than any Porcupine Tree, No Man, Blackfield, and side project Steven Wilson has made. It's him at his best. I think it's 11/10. More than perfect. If you see how many layers go beyond each song and how much experimentation he put into it, holy fuck. Can you say Genre Bending?

The last thing I remember paying for was Rise Against's AOL Undercover Sessions.

It's really an album for Rise Against fans. For $3.99 on iTunes, you get 3 Rise Against songs, and a cover of For What It's Worth by Buffalo Springfield. All of them are acoustic versions. I would only recommend this to true Rise Against fans. I bought it because it's nice to hear acoustic versions of some songs.
Track Listing:
For What It's Worth (Buffalo Springfield cover)
Prayer of the Refugee
Ready to Fall
Swing Life Away (Strangely enough, this is not the AOL Undercover version. However, it is audio directly from the music video)

Great album indeed, when i first heard that Harmony Korine song i was like..."I have to get this shit now!". Abandoner is my second fav song and probably the best and most complex "genre bending" song.
And maybe i don't know enough Porcupine Tree to rate it an 11.

Salvaging is my favorite on the album. I find it to be perfectly timed and perfectly put together. It has many phases and I could call it a multi-progressive song if that's even possible.
You still haven't? I already told you it was the best one.
He's only listened to The Bends and OK Computer, so it's possible he might not understand/enjoy the current side of radiohead. Just saying, don't expect the other albums after OK to be "Alternative". They really attempt to go out of their comfort zone. I think that's why the mainstream didn't like them much after OK.

I usually order my CDs from cduniverse.com. It's not a bad site, though they do get on the expensive side. If I can't find something there, I'd stick with Best Buy.
as well as the rest of the great Pink Floyd albums (Wish You Were Here, Animals and The Wall; possibly Atom Heart Mother as well purely for the title song and "Alan's Psychedelic Breakfast")
Without a doubt, get Atom Heart Mother. The opening piece is a great example of early 70s Brit Psychedelic Rock (with full orchestra too). The section "Funky Dung" (which will be distinguished by one of the best Roger Waters bass lines EVER) is the best. The "Mind Your Throats Please" section is very similar to "On The Run" from Dark Side of the Moon. "Alan's Psychedelic Breakfast" has one of the best David Gilmour steel lap guitar solos ever. The three individual songs written by Waters (If), Gilmour (Fat Old Sun), and Wright (Summer '68), are all amazing pieces of music.
For my next purchase, I'll be waiting until the new year. However, I will be downloading the new Gorillaz album from their site on Christmas. The next album I buy might be In Our Time Live from the Snowy White Blues Project. Once Them Crooked Vultures put out a new album, I'm going out to get that too.

Jake One...a very good dj/producer from Seattle. This is a producer's album so the vocals are mostly guest appearances. Although, with the exception of the good rappers, the rapping and lyrics werent that great but the beats are amazing and they make everyone sound good. Plus the edition that i bought comes with a extra CD with the instrumentals. Definitely worth the buy, and im mad that I didnt this a lot earlier when i had the chance.

Frostwire ftw?
However I do plan on buying the new Doves album, Kingdom of Rust.

It appears to be that way. I find nothing wrong in having a physical pressed copy of an album in my hands. I get full artwork, lyrics, liner notes, a really nice manufactured CD. Last time I checked, that's better than burning a CD-R with your computer (which can lead to serious problems).

Exactly. When it comes to music, in my opinion there's nothing better than having a legally bought physical copy. It's preferable to anything. Not only do you get all the nice extras and fancy casing; the audio on the CD is at the highest quality you can get. It's better than the shitty 192kbps MP3s you find on a lot of P2P networks.

I agree, I'd much rather have a physical copy of an entire album.
Anyways, I bought The Devil Wears Prada's Zombie EP, Avenged Sevenfold's Sounding the Seventh Trumpet and Chiodos' Illuminaudio three days ago :P
I had already downloaded TWDPs EP from itunes but I bought it for the very reason quoted above.

You shouldn't be using programs like frostwire. There's safer, more efficient things.
This is why I buy CDs. Artwork, lyrics, and liner notes.
Lyrics and artwork are online.
I get most of my music online, but like I've said before, I do enjoy buying copies if it's a really good album and has a nice unique packaging. With my music OCD there's no way I would be able to pay for all the albums. But I do like to support bands by seeing them live and getting the gear. They make more money at live concerts and if the band isn't as well known, you can get a chance to actually meet the members and talk to them, which is really cool.

I hate not having a decent store nearby so I can buy CDs everyday, I have to go to Lisbon and stuff because they have Fnac there... so I bought my last CDs in November ( it really has been a long time), although I have received the complete Muse discography on Christmas, but I wasn't the one who bought them.
I bought Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends, by Coldplay
