Trying to convince a friend not to commit suicide

IDK if this the wrong forum but quite frankly I DONT CARE!!!!!!! She is thinking that no one cares about her but we love her unconditionally! please help me figure out what to say. for if she dies i die to.

have you told her that by taking her life she takes yours to?, i dont know if that will help but it might make her see sense long enough for you to find the right thing to say xx

I've been in this situation so many times before. best thing to do is stay calm. If you panic it does her no good. Calmly tell her what she has to live for and that you care about her. Take her seriously even though in 9/ 10 cases she wouldn't really do it, she just wants help. Ask her what is bothering her, and why she wants to do it and discuss it with her. Just show her you care and keep talking.

Well when someone says that no one cares about them I usually reply with "If I didn't care, I wouldn't be talking to you right now.". Main thing to do is to keep her talking, make her explicitly aware of the consequences of suicide, and more so make her known the effect it would have on you. Remind her that you love her, say it sincerely. Try and weed out why exactly she's threatening this - as said above, it's most likely talk and nothing more (I've been in her place many times, and I don't think I would ever have done it).

One thing that might be a bit pedantic but one thing that seems to make sense in my head - when talking about consequences, etc. I never, ever use "it will be awful/etc.". I always try and say would. Just a little thing I try and do anyway.
