Hey,
I have a problem with Firefox. Every time I try to access a page with characters such as Chinese or Japanese, I get little boxes with the hex code in them.
First of all, I have:

Windows XP
Firefox ver 3.6.10

For example, 年廿八,洗邋遢 appears as boxes that look like this:

5E74
5EFF
516B
FF0C
6D17
908B
9062

What is this?
BTW, I don't care what the Chinese characters mean. :P

This usually happens when Firefox attempts to represent Unicode characters with a font that doesn't have them. Try installing Unicode versions of the fonts used, and see if it solves the problem.
