Fog Lamps/Lights

I see alot of offroad vehicles with Fog Lamps, and I see alot of sports cars with Fog Lights.
The car I'mm be getting soonly, has the spots in the bumber for the foglights, and I was wondering if I should get them installed. Like if their really worth it?

3 of our last 4 cars (2 VW Passats, 1 Golf, so not offroad) have had fog lights in them and we have never used them. Ever. And thats in the last 10 years. We find that as long as we don't use or bright headlights, everything is fine.

Realistically, the average person only needs the basic fog light that comes standard with most cars now-a-days. Even if you're going offroading, you'd do it in the day time wouldn't you? Unless you're going to go offroading at night or you just have money to splurge with, you don't really need them.

Oh yeah if you're car doesn't already come standard with them, might as well. I personally haven't used mine ever since there isn't THAT much fog.

I thought you were getting something like a Jeep and wanted to put offroad fog lights on it.

It doesn't really get foggy here, but there's alot of dirt roads, that don't have any lights, so i figured more light would help.
