okay so I ride on both sides of the scale. I go to both extremes. Idk why I can't control myself but I end up going back and forth. I've experienced many years of restricting, and starving, over excersizing, and losing weight. But I have also experienced many years of compulsive over eating. Right now I tip on the over eating side...but this will soon change....I don't know why I can't just lose weight and keep it off. But i've always been weird about my weight, and my eating habits. This has been going on for many years...
could I have an eating disorder? Do I?

It's still disordered eating, whether you do one or the other or both. I did both in middle before I started restricting strickly to 800 calories. But they're not healthy eating habits at all. Just because you can't be diagnosed as just one, it doesn't mean there isn't something up.

I think that you should ask your PCP (Primary Care Physician) about your eating habits. I would say that how much you eat is connected to self-estem levels and I think that when you feel good you dont eat and instead you exercise and when your upset you binge eat. Talk to your PCP and see what they say. They might be able to refer you too a nutritionist or dietition.
