I don't think it's quite an ED yet, but things are kinda weird for me.
I eat for about a week, then don't for a week or two, depending on my weight.
Is that bad for me?

Yes, it's bad for you.

I don't think I need to give you a scientific explanation - eating is something you're supposed to do every day. That's how we are made. It's a stress on your body, and, especially in the teen years, your mind if you skip days of eating.
Also, this can contribute to developing a negative self-image and too much concern about weight.

I would suggest you get out of this habit before it gets worse or it's harder to get out of. If you're worried about gaining weight, still eat every day, just don't eat that much, or don't eat bad stuff!

yes, it is a problem. Just because you do eat doesn't mean you don't have a problem.

EDNOS and disordered eating (http://www.virtualteen.org/forums/showthread.php?t=88803) are other eating disorders that aren't anorexia or bulimia. Infrequent starving is one of the symptoms. I'd suggest that you talk to someone about this, like your GP or something. EDNOS is just as serious as any other eating disorder, and it could quite easily turn into anorexia if you don't get it sorted now.

Good luck hun :)

What Georgia said ^
It sounds like EDNOS. This is what I have and I do the same as you. Sometimes i starve, sometimes I purge and sometimes I eat. it may not be the typical eating disorders of Anorexia or Bulimia but it is still just as mentall damaging and frustrating. I suggest you get help for this before it gets worse. Also, you can contact me at any time if you want to talk about it :)

i have something very similar to this at the moment, in fact i have done for a few months now, however, i know its now healthy to do this, so it is best if you try and stop it now while you can before it becomes more serious. good luck!
