Jaw surge!

I have an overbite and have to have jaw surge to fix it. has anyone had this done? how bad does it hurt and whats recoverey like? ive had 15 surgeries before but those were all abdominal or neruological, besides my wisdom teeth getting take out. Any advice im new to the JAW surge area.
