Does anybody else like running their finger over their little bumps that cutting makes before it heals?
I dunno why i find it kind of calming
I was just wondering is this very weird of me :P

Where the edges of your skin are when it heals just a bit? Yeah, I do that. The other thing I do is trace my scars with my finger :P No, it's not weird.

I do that. I do it alot in class, because i can just put my hand down my sleeve and no one knows what i'm doing.

that sounds really relaxing it makes me want to start cutting again...i always mess around with my old scars and i want to start cutting ugh i have to do the dishes soon that means sharp objects :)

I like running my fingers over the scabs.
It calms me and reminds me what I have control over. ^^

yeah I do it a lot too. If I have an urge to cut I might run my fingers over my scars instead. Sometimes it helps, but unfortunately, most of the time it doesn't. I do it anyway, when I'm at school and stuff.

i do it with scabs like when it still hurts to touch it...even if they arent self induced it still feels good...and i just kinda stare at the scar on my wrist

i do that a lot when im stressed and when im bored, i have a massively raised scar on my left upper arm, it carms me down when i know its still there, that sounds really weird doesnt it lol xx

When i did cut, i did that a lot, it was somewhat of a soothing thing for me. If i was stressed out or something, i'd rub where i has cut because the texture, well feeling was smooth. It used to stop me because something was already there to touch, and to feel made it all better.

Mine rarely bumped. But, I did that once, and it disgusted me. I think it's because I was ashamed of myself

I do that, i have a lot of raised scars and i find it really calming to run my fingers over them.

I do that all the time with scars, scabs, and the part where it swells a lot. Looking at them too seems calming. It's like look at what you did to yourself, you deserved it. You got what you deserved.
However there are times when I look or feel and I automatically get disgusted. I feel so sick and gross. Like how can I do that to myself?! O.o I'm a psychotic child and need to be locked up.

I'm a lot like Sammy. I like looking at them, just to show myself I deserved it. It kind of makes it easier not to cut sometimes, and then others it just makes it harder.
