She changed me:Her eye's saw :What the the other's refused to see. The mask fell from my face:She knocked down the barriers I surrounded myself with.
Her hand reached for mine, she grasped my palm, and she pulled me back from the darkness.
She was able to see: What I was not: My universe was dying, gradually perishing.
Before she came my life was:
A blackened night:
with no moon to illuminate the sky:
And no stars to light the darkness:
Then she shot across my sky:
burning as brilliantly as a shooting star:
her very presence lit the sky:
with fire, with golden, glorious fire:
the shadows lifted<
beauty and life
magical things, impossible things,
now seemed, not merely possible,
but attainable.
Then she left, and the fire burned out.
Nothing had changed, but my eyes:
now so accustomed to the light:
The darkness made me blind.
But, as she promised, she came back.
Now I could see. I was no longer blind.
