I am curious as to why that is the case. How come in those particular forums post counts are not raised. I also have noticed the same in the introduction forum if I am not mistaken.

It is meant to be like that. It is so people don't constantly post and spam in those forums to raise their post counts.

People would then like to spam the Arcade to bump up their post count. The same can be said for the Intro forum.

I don't understand intros being post free, but arcade.. well. Think about that one. It's spamfest

Kyle you can copy and paste "Hello, welcome to VT" in each thread quite easily. It's just as easy to spam there

because you could easily get a whole lot of posts

My only thought is the message it sends. By making posts there not count, it kind of sends the message that post count matters. Really, it shouldn't.

the rules for messaging count though and someone could get enough posts in a couple of hours in the arcade to send PMs

exactly it'll be easy to get 100 posts and people can PM the day they join

There are so many people that join Virtual Teen that there would be so many people as Jon put it, a copypasta. First of all having posts made to count is a really stupid idea, as here on VT post count matter as to privileges. If that were made available like that on such a large site, it would cause anarchy inside the PM system. And that's not the message we send out. When you post enough helpful and meaningful posts like what this site is made for it should be part of the award system. It's incentive to some people in a good way, but if they get all those posts, only in spam and nothing in help, then what would be the point of privileges?
Just not a good idea.
