is it fair?

My mum said to me the other day that the only way I would be allowed to join the australian SAS would be over her dead body. she said that they were arragont pricks and that if i did survive the training that i would most likely die or be maimed. do you think its fair that she should be able to basicly say that if you do this your dead to me?

It's her right to hold whatever opinion she wants of you, so long as she doesn't cross the line into being abusive. When you're ready to join the military, you're ready to be on your own, and your mother is entitled to that point of view.
