Idk if this is the right forum but here it goes.. feel free to move it if wished.

Omg i hate those really, REALLY freaky movies. They just terrify me to no end and I lose sleep thinking about them!! Ohh my gosh!

I was watchin this really good movie about an hour ago, and decided to search it on the internet just to see some general info, ya know, and guess what?? There was another movie with a similar name, and when I read the summary of that one it was just SOO scary and freaky and OMG! This is like the tenth time it's happened to me, and I am so, so tired of it.

The last time this happened was when a friend told me about a movie, and I was like "Oh my god, why did you tell me that?!?!" The description just absolutely TERRIFIED me! She wanted me to see the trailer but I was just like no because if I saw that I would probably have to go to therapy, because, according to her, it showed everything she said...

All the freaky movies out there makes me absolutely afraid to search for anything on the internet, because I'm scared that one small click could lead me to something and I read it and I'm terrified all over again. It's so frustrating :(

I'm really sorry for the long post and the capitals but I just had to get this off my chest and tell someone. I'm too scared of being embarrassed if I tell someone I know personally. Thanks...

I'm not sure this is the right forum but it's okay. So you scare easily? I don't know if therapy would help that but it might actually. Theirs a technique doctors use to help patients with PTSD (massive phobia) which could roughly be used on you I suppose.
It's exposure therapy, they expose them to what scares them most and eventually, they get over it and are no longer as afraid.

I had PTSD after a really bad car accident, I was always afraid of cars but I ended up in a four car accident coming home from school my junior year, after that I would have panic attacks and flash backs everytime I got in the car. But driving was unavoidable so after a few months, it got better. I was exposed to it so often that I just wasn't afraid anymore.

Maybe you should give it a shot? It might be helpful?

Yeah I do get scared easily, actually. I have considered therapy.. but I probably won't give it a try unless it gets worse (like if I ever develop constant thoughts, panic attacks, etc.)

Could it be anxiety?
