A woman who dialled 999 to report the theft of a snowman from outside her home has been branded "completely irresponsible" by Kent Police.

The force said the woman, from Chatham, thought the incident required their involvement because she used pound coins for eyes and teaspoons for arms.

During the call the woman said: "It ain't a nice road but you don't expect someone to nick your snowman."

I was at a party on Friday night and someone had locked themself in the bathroom and then passed out. So we tried, and failed to open the bathroom door when the equally drunken host announced he was going to call the police, whatever fucking good that was supposed to. The guy was passed out. He couldn't unlock the door so all the cops would've been able to do was bash it down which was exactly what he was trying to avoid doing.

Eventually someone came up to him and said something like "What are you doing? The house is full of drugs" and he relented. Eventually somebody climbed in through the window from outside and unlocked it but it really makes you think.

An ambulance or the fire brigade would've made more sense but the host had apparently decided that this poor bloke was no longer welcome and a trespasser.
