Not sure if this is the right place for this but...

my girlfriend and I just had sex and my condom broke...I pulled out and most of my load went on the bed but I'm not sure if any actually got inside her. So we went and got Plan B from Walgreens and she has taken it...She is scheduled to have her period around wednesday...

Did we do the right thing and is the drug going to work?

It was wise for her to take the morning after pill, just in case. Its not 100% reliable, but you've done everything you can to reduce the risk.

Plan B is emergency contraception - that means that it's made for taking after the condom has broken. Not before - it's not like the Pill - the Pill is a preventative form of contraception.

Also, I'm surprised at you, Donkey and nick - both of your are some of the best P101 of this year, and you didn't make a comment about the condom! It's all right though.

But I will mention it. Here are some ways to make sure you use a condom correctly:

Use lubrication or a lubricated condom. Not only can you have some fun with the lube, but the condom is less likely to break with less unneeded friction.
When you use a lube, use a water-based lube. Oil-based lubes weaken latex condoms and can cause them to break.
Don't store condoms in a sock you wear, or in your wallet, or in a warm place. These places are warm and the friction can weaken the condom.
Your situation is a good example of how condoms aren't 100% effective - but if you do choose to have sex, definitely wear a condom - with sex you always want to reduce as many risks as possible

That's all the advice I have for tonight, I'm sorry if I missed something, I'm tired. Best of luck, football! :)

I was having a lazy day Zach :P But yeah, using condoms isn't rocket science. Just follow the little leaflet instructions (there usually is one that comes with the condoms) about how to put them on. Just don't make the same mistake again because condoms don't just "break" without reason unless you got ones for $0.10 on eBay.
