1: Ask question.
2: Dad "answers" question, but is really rambling on about something completely unrelated.
3: You get confused and ask him to explain how it has to do with what you asked.
4: Dad thinks you're pissed at him, so he just freaks out and ignores you.
5: You are even more confused than before, and you get mad because your dad never answers your question.
"Dad, if I've already worked hours for pay, do I still have to do work experience for school?"
"Tons of people do that these days, but it's not fully legal. People try to circumvent the law."
"What? It's fully legal...I don't get it."
*Dad explains how he was talking about weapons in school*
*I get frustrated because dad never ever thinks before he talks*
"Matthew, write down all you know about short stories and print it out."
"Uh, dad, it's a test. You can't print info out to use during a test."
"What, what test? Since you're away today and can't do the test, you need to show them all your knowledge about short stories."
"Uh, dad, I don't know what weirdo school you went to, but if you're away for a test, they just make you do the test on a different day."
*Dad freaks out, and I get confused and freak out*
