I'm a little sad :(, my granny died on Tuesday at 3am to lung cancer.
What a horrible disease, but, atleast she's not suffering anymore and at peace.
The funeral's on Monday.

Could you cheer me up?

i lost my grandad a few months ago due to a heart attack so I know how you feel. Be glad that you had her instead of being sad that she's gone. it's ok to cry but you will get over it, you just need time

Lung cancer is a terrible thing, you are right to focus on the fact that her suffering is over. Hopefully she lived a good life and got to do many of the things she wanted to. She wouldnt want you to be sad for ever, but to get on and live your own life. She will always be with you in your memories.

Sorry for you loss, best wishes,

Nick

The death of a loved one is horrendous for everyone, just stay strong and you will get through it. We can't really "cheer you up," because it's really hard to do that when someone's just died, but we can give you advice and talk to you so that you don't feel that you're alone. I wrote a guide just yesterday about getting through grief, perhaps you should give it a read if you can find the time: http://www.virtualteen.org/forums/showthread.php?t=89128

Sorry to hear about your loss, I lost my aunt to stomach cancer a few years ago.
Its a hard thing to get over, but try and focus on that fact that she is no longer suffering (thats what I did).
There's no timescale for getting over the loss of a loved one, but its important to grieve and come to terms with it.
You will get over it, it doesnt matter how long it takes
And once again really sorry to hear about your loss

I'm sorry to hear about your grandma Chris, its never easy to lose someone close to you, especially a family member. I lost my uncle a few months ago to a sudden heart attack. I know it will probably seem difficult to but try to focus on the good times you had with her and remember that shes not suffering any more. As Nick said above, shes not completely gone, you still have you memories of her. If you need to talk about anything or just want someone to listen feel free to pm or email me i'd be happy to help.
