She led me through the blackest night .
She held my hand, and comforted me.
She gave me the will,
to stand, and fight.
She broke the ice, that sealed my heart.
And I never saw her face.
Her own troubled heart, and her own troubled mind.
She still found the goodness to help someone like me.
She felt herself dying.
She saw herself fall.
She saw herself teetering on the precipice of despair,
and she didn't know how to save herself.
She never looked in the mirror. She never saw herself. She never looked
inside herself, and saw her heart. She never saw
how brightly it shone.
She wanted to see, so desperately.
But she never did.
She was standing on the edge. Blade in her hand.
She began to fall. She didn't scream. she didn't fight.
She was glad to fall, she was glad to end it, the pain
and the hurt.
But then. A hand reached out. A figure approached.
He grabbed her, and pulled her back from the oncoming darkness.
She looked up, angrily, to see her savior.
It was him. He had returned. She smiled.
She was saved.
