Okay so I'm trying to make an effort to get back with my ex. We haven't talked since we broke up 7 months ago and we have passed each other in the hallway and neither of us said a word. At first it was because I didn't know what to say, but now that we're 3 months into the school year and I pass her almost everyday and still have said nothing I feel like it would be odd to stop her and try talking to her. I feel like she'd think,"Well we've passed each other enough times in three months and you're just now talking to me?"

That on top of how the last time we talked worked out, I feel like it would be extremely awkward. I've tried talking to my brother about it, but I don't think he fully understands where I'm coming from. In high school he was the popular guy. Girls, friends, etc. For him, this would be a cake walk. For me, not so much.

What I'm getting at here is do you think it would be awkward if I just sporadically stopped her and tried to talk to her while passing by in the hallway?

It's been over half a year since you two broke up. Move on, man.

It probably would be awkward and I somewhat agree with the above. She doesn't seem to be interested... do you have any evidence or reason to think that she's interested in you? Because this sounds like a bit of a mess that won't be able to resolve in the way you want it to unfortunately. What can you do? Move on?

If you're desperate to talk to her, it might be awkward to talk in the same place that you pass each other everyday. Try going somewhere else, or where you do pass, throw your papers into the air "accidentally" and she will feel inclined to pick them up :P That is likely to get the two of you talking.

For one, that has nothing to do with the OP.

Two, I haven't even thought of her until school started. I haven't been yearning for her since we broke up. I'm even starting to reconsider my feelings for her in the first place. I guess I just wanted her back in my life. Not necessarily as a GF.
