How to get to know her

Okay, so there's this girl I met on MSN about a year ago through friends. We used to talk so much and we have a lot in common. Since then I have seen her in real life but only briefly and I havent really had a chance to talk to her. I really like and my friends who are also friends with her talk openly about others and they have said that she is attractive. I just want to get to know her better. I have been waiting for someone to invite us both to the same event, but it just hasn't happened.

I don't really know why I'm posting this because it doesn't ask a question, I just felt I had to share my feelings. Feel free to tell me what you think or give me any advice.

Talk to her often again, spark up that close relationship you once had. Then decide to meet together, just you and her, some time. What can go wrong? :)

Ya take Jon's advice.
There shouldn't be anything wrong or weird about asking her to hang out with you, especially if you feel like you are good friends with her. Just go see a movie together or something and see how things go, you may like each other more, your relationship may stay the same, or hopefully not so it could get worse.

Okay, so I sent her a message but her reply wasn't really something that I could start a conversation from and I dont want to suddenly start talking to her heaps after about a year because it might seem kind of creepy, so I really dunno what to do/say.

Any help?
