I just find it amusing... Ofc governments are gonna keep secret documents, they wouldn't be able to function otherwise. Should the public be able to view them? Hell no.

Depends on the content of the documents

Most of these documents are things the Americans have been hiding from others and their own people. I think, for the most part, it's justified, albeit dangerous.

Was the leak of the "Pentagon Papers" in the 60s justified?

there's a slight difference between a world wide nuclear war and a couple of hamburgers

It's an analogy, the point is that you can "what if" anything. What if because I asked to get off the bus early one day, the driver was distracted and drove into a group of schoolgirls and killed them all?
I don't think a conflict between Iran and Saudi Arabia would create a nuclear war - the two probably don't have the capabilities to start firing at the West anyway. And I doubt the US would be overly concerned about the two.

I think the only thing that will come of this, is maybe some raised tensions in the east and a slight distrust of the US from other western countries, i know for sure UK and US relations will never be the same, you dont insult the PM and the Queens Husband and walk off scot free. This is nothing more than an example of american arrogance

Prince Andrew isn't the Queen's husband. Also the documents will reflect badly on Gordon Brown and David Cameron. You would have to have been on mars for the past 4 years to work out that Brown was a crap PM, America only agree with us on that one. Regarding David Cameron, he is described as receiving a "less than enthsusic" response from the British people, again that's true. If he had won a majority than support would have been described as enthusiac but he didn't, again America is justified. You think the US will give a fuck about the UK thinks? We need them, they don't need us. Its been that way since 1940 why would it change now?

The documents suggest otherwise regarding nuclear weapons. Also do you think the USA would really ignore a nuclear war in the east?
