Okay, so i started high school this year. I thought it was gonna so much better than middle school, and it is, except for one thing. After awhile, most of my friends just kinda separated. Like, they turned into little freshmen groups and i'm not in any of them. I used to have alotta friends and acquaintances (never had a best friend tho), but now their all just basically like contacts. Did this ever happen to anyone else? How did you deal with it?
I'm not completely ruined though, cuz i'm pretty decent at making new friends. I've already made a few good ones. I've even found a group of junior chicks who seem promising (go Team Andrew! :D)

I live in the UK and I changed schools when I moved up from primary.
I think it happens to almost everyone - their friends splitting up and creating new friendship groups, reinventing themselves, having personality transplants etc.
It's good that you're confident you'll make new friends too. Sounds like you've got it all under control.

Remember, your teenage years are the years you're going to do most of your growing up and changing. Those people you used to have similar interests with may have changed what their interests are. They go off with people who have the same interests and you're left behind in a respect. Its all part of growing up, you lose old mates and you gain new ones.
Its happened to me once or twice before but my high school story is a little different than most. Its a good thing to be confident about making new friends but just remember its gonna take some time.

This definitely happened to be during the transition from primary to secondary school. It took me a while to find myself and who I wanted to be with but 3 years later I'm alright, lol. I was alright pretty soon to be honest, really. You're just in the transition stage, it's kind of stressful but you'll definitely get through it and perhaps meet better friends :)

i was only really scared because i was pregnant at the time. But it isn't really anything to be scared about, it's not like in movies when freshmen get beat up for no reason. in my school the only time you get picked on is by the upperclassmen you know personally and it's just joking around.

This happens.. people change.. friends come and go. When i graduated 8th grade half my friends went to one school and half to another.. but i made some really good friends in highschool.. i dont have any close friends left from highschool now. My close friends are ppl i work with now. People usually go in different paths.. just hang in there it will be ok.
