Hey all,
I am trying to get a new forum website started and I need moderators and help advertising it. I don't currently have a domain for it, but if you would like to check it out and create an account, it's online at teenforums.byethost3.com/forums
Thanks in advance!

Having previously run a teen forum, and being very experienced when it comes to online forums, I could grill you. I'll be nice though :D
1. What makes your forum stand out from the rest? Why will people want to go to yours?
2. No one will want to go to a forum with no posts - create some content, post around on multiple accounts if necessary.
3. Get a domain, it makes your site look so much better.
4. Theme isn't especially appealing. Not very vibrant or interesting.
5. Get a logo? Get a paid host perhaps, otherwise it will be unreliable.
Also for forum software I suggest MyBB over phpBB. And commercial forum software over any free forum software.

Jon makes good points, its hard to make an impression in a saturated market, its essential to get some content. I would also agree that your theme is bland and lacks impact. You can get great functionality on phpBB but its a lot of work to achieve it and you really need to know what you're doing with php, html and css to stand any chance. Take a look at my forum (link in signature below) which is running under phpBB, it has a gallery, games arcade, shoutbox, integrated chat and many other features which can be installed to add functionality, but its a hell of a lot of work to achieve it.
Let me know if I can help at all or if you want to make a post for post agreement with me or to discuss mutual advertising if your site takes off.
