Hey ppl,

Last Christmas I got a PS2 Slim(SCPH-90001), and a memory card(KT2M-3201).
That worked fine.

Then in around March(2010), I bought Jak X - Combat Racing. A little while later, I played some other games, and they said Save File not found, whereas I had made a save file.

After checking the browser, I saw 2 blue boxes with the description Corrupted Data. I tried to delete it, but I received an error saying Delete Failed. Now, whenever I try to make a new "profile" on my Memory Card, it gets stuck in an infinite loop of these messages:

No Save data detected in Memory Card Slot 1.
Do You want to make a new profile? (I click Yes)
Please wait...

And that goes on for as long as I have patience(which is about 10 times).

What is the matter?????????????????????????????? :(

What do you mean? What's wrong with that?

I guess he's just trying to say it's old and therefore inferior. Anyway, I can't remember ever having a problem like this with my old PS2 it was pretty much the Kalashnikov varient of gaming. Is yours second hand and how old is it?
With regards to the console not registering the memory card, try blowing in the slot of the PS2 and in the memory card incase of dust etc. that used to get mine working again, otherwise just go get a new memory card, they'd be like what... 50p on Amazon these days?

There's nothing wrong with a PS2. Still a brilliant console.

The reason they are corrupted is because something went wrong, like a bad file save or something. Have you ever turned off the PS2 or opened the disc tray or removed the memory card while its saving? That could lead to it.

Mine's not refurbished.
Besides, £50!?!?!?!?
That's wacko!!
They have 'em for $20 here!!

And, all of the other games work, it's just this one that doesn't.
The system(or the game, rather) does recognize the card, but doesn't want to save to it. No dust in there.

And I especially don't want to buy a new memory card. That shouldn't be necessary. It should just work.

50pence not Pound Sterling clearly that much should be obvious.
Well if the saves corrupted then it's probably what the poster above me said that you've probably disrupted the save in some way (opening the disc tray whilst saving etc.) and there are faulty memory cards i'm sure the tech is old and unless your a true tight ass buying a new one should be no problem what so ever as stated before: "they'd be like what... around 50p on Amazon?"

Well sorrrrrrrry....
I live in the US and come from The Netherlands(Eindhoven). So I'd have no idea.
Besides, the UK is not part of the EU, from what I heard on Yes, Prime Minister. That's a good show, btw.

"...that's what the poster above me said...." That's what she said. Just kidding. :)
And no, I don't think that I have opened the tray while the game was saving. And besides, that still doesn't explain why that infinite loop occurs.

Are you a uneducated, or just plain simple?! Of course the UK is part of the E.U and has been since 1973, the fact that you don't even know this is reason enough for me not to question or even continue with an argument. To coincide with this fact it is also general knowledge that Pence (p) and Pound sterling (£) generally are two differnt symbols so confusion is idiotic.

Idk much about UK-EU relations. If I cared more, I might not have made that mistake.
But I didn't care, so there. (see my signature)
Hey, that rhymes...

Edit: Oh yeah, did you know that BBC doesn't have to tell the truth?

It has nothing to do with not caring such knowledge is included in the most basic of current global affairs, to not know such a simple fact is with lack of a better word... Stupidity
"but i didn't care, so there" This, this is your scape-goat to such an outrageous claim?

What does the BBC have to do with anything, seriously just stop.
