If someone is familiar with the different fields, what they do and why kind of education and training you need, could you post it here please?

Bothof my parents are doctors, I don't know a lot but from what they've told me you need to train for a long time for surgeons I heard its something like 10 years ((don't quote me on the last part I could be wrong)). But yeah, basically if you want to be a doctor of any kind it requires a ton of training

8 years and University are my least favorite phrases in your sentence. You know how many dime bags I'm gonna have to sell to afford that??? Thanks though:D

I think my only grades that are ever good is my Chemistry, Woodworking and Global(history).
They don't have anything to do with any sort of psychiatric/therapist field. And 8 years is a lot of college, even if it is free.

To be a therapist, I'm told it's 8 years of college. Psychologists seem to require more than that, your PhD. and 1-2 years of internship. To become a psychiatrist, you need your bachelor's, medical school, and then psychiatric residency for four years. These will vary, but not by much, depending on where you live. I'm also not too sure what you need to work in a psychiatric hospital, though I'm sure it's 8 years to be a counselor.

Chemistry is relevant to psychiatric field because you need to learn medicine if you want to be able be a doctor and write mental patients prescriptions. Otherwise without that you're just a psychologist.

Assuming you want the MD after your name, you're going to want to be a psychiatrist. To be a psychiatrist you're going o have to do 4 years undergrad, 4 years med school, 4 years residency. If you want additional specialties, it'll be longer. For example, I'm going psych and neuro so I have 4 years college, 4 years med, and 7 years residency.
