Do not take nyquil to help you sleep. You need to go to a doctor and actually have the give you a persription.

Their are plenty of non adictive sleep meds to help you. You just have to talk to your mom seriously and give her hard cold facts and tell her the benifits and tell her you wont get addicted.

Over-the-counter meds are usually fine when taken at the recommended dosage. When I was still living at home before I got a psychiatrist, my mum would often have me take something like that to help me get to sleep with insomnia. Of course, I do recommend getting on sleep meds if it's over a long period of time. Most aren't addictive. I've personally been on Melatonin and Seroquel and I prefer Seroquel, never got addicted to either.

NOOOOOOO, ABSOLUTELY NOT.
If you take medication nightly to fall asleep, you WILL become addicted because sleep meds do have addictive chemicals in them.
The best thing to do would be to just try your best to get to sleep on your own.
If all else fails, take ONE dose of Nyquil before you go to sleep one night, and that should help you sleep.
If you get one good nights sleep, it's likely to regulate your sleep schedule, however, DO NOT take over the counter meds. You WILL become addicted using them daily.
