Ok, I'm in high school, and for the life of me I cannot start, or continue a conversation with a decent girl. The odd part is, I'm one of "those popular guys" I guess you could say. I'm very fit, and I play varsity football and am on the wrestling team. I hang out with guys that have girls drooling over them, yet I have issues getting past "hello". I'm no different than these guys, and I'm certainly not ugly.

Odly enough, the only girls that I can really talk to and make laugh are the girls that are 'not my type'(I think you all get what I mean). Anyway, ave already watched a few very beautiful girls with amazing personalities walk out of my life when I had what seemed like a really good shot.

I'm not talking one night stands, friends with benefits, or even sex really(although I wouldn't mind:lol:). I just want someone to talk to and to be there for me. And vise versa.

So what am I doing wrong? How can I change?

I appreciate any help/advise you can give.

your doing nothing wrong, you sound like you just need more confidence :)
bring up the fact they look good today, or ask them how they etc

if your really stuck, just watch your frinds and see what they do.
for practice, i know this sounds silly, but talk to yourself in the mirror, it really help with this sort of thing

hope this helps

well if your friends are talking to a girl your interested in just casually walk up and when you have something to say just join in the conversation then when you have confidence you can talk to them when they are alone

Relax. Put on your coolface and chill. You should talk to girls like you'd talk to a guy — in a relaxed, I-don't-give-a-shit way. Nobody likes someone who's nervous.
