So I decided to bake an apple pie for Thanksgiving this year, from scratch, by myself.
Now this may not seem like a daunting task to all of you, but I am no chef. I'm not even anywhere close, haha.
I have a recipe, the ingredients, and I'm not an idiot, so it should work out, but I did want to ask if any of you have any pointers or tips.
Thanks :D
Oh and have a Happy Thanksgiving!
Peace God

I know how to cook but i suck at baking.
...but i do know that i prefer the apples to not be really mushy. So i guess try not to overcook it.
I think my mom puts a bit of flour in with the apples so that it doesnt come out runny when you cut it.
Oh and remember to let it cool when you're done baking or else you might have a soupy mess when you cut it.

Make sure you keep an eye on the pie the entire time it's cooking. Checking up on it frequently so if anything were to be wrong you could take it out promptly ans might be able to save the pie. Use fresh apples, I mean FRESH. Granny Smith or Red and Delicious are good choices with the pie, as granny smith has a hint of tart to bring to the pie and red and delicious is just an all 'round good apple to use. Juicy and flavorful. When the pie is done, take some toothpicks and stick them in the pie and pull them out to check how the pie is inside that way you don't have to cut it. I hope this somewhat helps abd you have a fabulous thanksgiving hun :)
