Ideas for taming cowlicks

I have 2 really bad cowlicks on the back of my head and they are the most menacing things for me. I want to cut my hair short but they will stick up like crazy!! any adivce on how to tame them.

well what i do is i just put a little hairspray or moose and then i flat iron it...it will help but you have to be fast and put it in your style...or another trick i use is i pull on it until it stays down...lol
