I can only assume washing your face several times a day isn't working. Other than that, I believe a bit of rubbing alcohol helps clean things out. Only a little bit of it, mind you, also keep your hands and hair off of your face.

Rubbing alcohol would burn, yes. It is used to dry out the skin which is why you should use very little of it.

oat meal with honey...cook it and let it cool then apply it to your face avoiding the eye area
1 serving oatmeal (the kind you eat)
1/4 cup honey

Only if you have open pimples.

That's why some people suggest Hydrogen Peroxide.

But both of these are drying. So you would want to moisturize afterwards, with something not like hand cream or anything - something made for the face. Neutrogena and Nivea have men lines of oil-free moisturizer with SPF (to prevent sun damage which can lead to wrinkles). Moisturizer is important because it nourishes skin, helps prevents skin from overproducing oil to overcompensate, and prevents the skin from becoming so dry that other things happen.

The products out there that have 8 to 20 percent salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide are way too drying for many people - much more drying than alcohol. That's why some of the better products have 5% or less (down to 0.50%) of one of those ingredients.

These are some ideas :)

Eat less fatty foods for one :P That helps.
Wash your face with a soft soap, but not one that dries your skin out too much.

another odd fact i've learned is acne is caused by having dairy products sometimes.
so possibly, try cutting out more dairy in your daily diet, and see how that works.

You could go to the chemist/pharmacy (same thing) and buy a cheap spot cream.
That's what I done and all my acne is gone ^^

Drink a lot of water, and go to bed with a clean towel over your pillow. Keep your hands off your face, and wash it with anti-bacterial soap at least twice a day.

Use clearersol which is cheap and, rubing alchol is used in facial wipes for acne as it removes the dirt and oil that causes acne as well as reduce oil food in diet and keep the face cool as heat helps acne thrive
