Before I start my main talk, I would like to add something:
A Hungarian woman, who was a prophet ( who foresaw 9/11 attacks ) also foresaw WW3. According to what she says, the war will start 5 days later or so...
Well, let me start.
We all know that Russia, Iran, North Korea and China have a common enemy: the USA.
Well, everyone says " Iran and Russia will be allies, followed by China. "
Well, Turkish "street talk" says "We won't build that missile shield. We'll be allies with Iran and Russia will join us! After that China, and NKorea and there is a high possibility Indıa will join us too!"
I told them not to rely on Russia, since throughout history Russia always said "I'll fight with you!" to it's allies and just withdrew from the battle after sold weapons and tanks.
North Korea, well for some reason I don't think they will declare war ( this is just a stupid hunch ) but everyone sees them as a supreme and threatful force.
Iran, they have heavenly missiles, no need to comment about them more. They have infinite number of them ! And my friend also said " Half of Iran's population are suicide bombers, 1 Iranian would bring down 50 Americans with himself " things like that... I have no idea how Iran's infantry or tank corps advanced..
China? I don't need to comment on China, they own...
India? I have no idea about this. They are technologically advanced but do they have a lust to fight?
And what will America do? Britain, France or Germany will come to his aid? What is America's secret weapons?
So, before commenting don't say " You have no evidence to prove this " etc. These are just my opinions. Any resources are welcome. Let's make a peaceful debate.

That's just a lucky guess, there are no such things as prophets.
I think war with North Korea is a definate possibility given todays events. Is America really strong enough to fight in Korea and Afganistan at the same time? With regards to Europe, Britain who naturally follow its master, the french would support Britain but not commit any resources and the Germans are too busy saving the euro to fight a war. China is not going to go to war with the US, its economy survives on US importing its goods to be sold there

Russia would most likely not go to war with U.S. because they'd be raped by the E.U., and China really would have no reason to go to war with us either, since we are huge trading partners. But Iran and North Korea I can see. But if there were to be a war, NATO would probably be involved, and possibly countries of the European Union. Japan will come if North Korea is involved since Japan and the U.S. are huge allies and Japan obviously does not like North Korea. And this whole India thing I don't see why they'd be involved.

Couldn't agree with you more Perseus. There is something called NATO out there, but really, can America afford a war in both Iraq, Afghanistan and North Korea?

America would pull out of Iraq and Afghanistan to fight a war with North Korea, but that war would be easier since we wouldn't be fighting guerrillas. We'd be fighting an organized corps. But we'd landlock them and rape them will battleship battery and rape them with bombers. Japan would do the same, whereas South Korea would be using artillery battery to push forward into North Korea, but now that I think about it, the 38th parallel(38th, right?) would stop either side from pushing into each other's territory, so infantry would have to be carried over with helicopters, which means North Korea would fortify their borders with anti air battery, which is where America's navy would come into play.

North Korea bombards! South Korea counterattacks with F16s.

South Korea rings war bells...

More than likely, but deffinatly not World War III. Just a final end of the Korean war with the heavily Western backed South Korea emerging the victor. SK is a large Global trading partner for example their successful penetration of the global car markets: Kia, Hyundai, obviously gaining support with their Globalisation skills and financial capabilites... Seoul in the event unfortunately would be completely distroyed.
If NK sensed any amount of invasion or retalliation that would be their first target to concentrate majoring fire on the capital, after which ever able citizen would then be involved in NK's famous conscription of around 9,000,000 in infantry strength in attempts to overwhelm the south.
this however is where the SK economy comes into play, with superior firepower and weaponary the invasion would be none disimilar to "up and over" the technique used by Western Europe in the two world wars in which combatants rose from their trenches and charged aimlessly at the enemy only to be destroyed by aposing artillery. The vast numbers of North Korea's decorated army would be massacred before they got across the mile stretch no-mans land.

The only truly organised rogue nation left on this earth. With strong capabilites of war landlocked by their closest ally an economical powerhouse set on world dominance. And a recovering financially strong small democratic state to the south.

It's so depressing to think about this. We just need to stop relying so heavily on China.

I would hardly say that Russia and China are looking to start a spat with the Americans. However, I can agree with you on North Korea and Iran, but neither of those countries have the international backing, technology or resources to survive such a war.
As for India, which has even more US support, I doubt even more that they'd join an alliance against us.

Well according to the book of "Revelations": The world will end during the 3rd big war. (WW3 in this context) So I don't know. I don't think China would be willing to wage war against us though. Being that we're such strong trading partners (so there must be some sort of alliance there) But Niccolo Machiavelli said "You should practice alliances, but should be able to break them easily"
I think the U.S. army should brush up of Sun Tzu's The Art of War!! Just in case major war should happen.

You seriously believe that, because some book said WWIII will be the end of the world, it actually will be? Nobody can predict something like that. There's no guarantee the next global war will result in the end of humanity or we know it, or if it'll even involve the use of nuclear weapons.

The war to end all wars, simply starts humanity's next bloody chapter on this earth.

Just like what World War I and II did, but this future is far from bloody, aside the current wars and isolated crimes the world experiences today.

The moment we say something is "dangerous to talk about" is the moment we lose our freedom of speech.

No. There's a difference between recognizing the danger and saying that danger means it should be prohibited. One is responsible. One is tyrannical.

Well, to me, implying that we shouldn't talk about something is equivalent to saying it should be prohibited. I mean, yes, some speech (how to make bombs, for instance) should be prohibited, but not something trivial like discussing WWIII.
But anyway, we're off topic now, so I'll just leave it at that :P
