In this thread, we post songs that one could easily imagine headbanging to. This way, VT can headbang together, as one, in union.

Please explain why your song can be considered headbangable.

I'll start.

BkkOQjK71Ss

This song has a heavy-as-fuck intro and chorus (PUSHING LITTLE CHILDREN). Perfect.

The riff makes me want to have sex with a rainbow.

How dare you mention flying whales before me. How dare you mention Gojira without my permission.

How 'bout converge? Mathcore always makes me want to just go fucking berserk. Moar converge. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qg1DADtRqrA)

If you like those two songs, look into the Jane Doe album after Axe To Fall. Some of the best metal and math rock albums I've ever heard. They have progressive influences also.

Classic thrash, guys. A fast, energy-charged song. Never gets old.

Ehh, well, I guess this'll go best with what has been posted. I'm not a headbanger though :P I'm also not really into harder stuff, so this is all I have.

Agreed, try and stick to metal guys. That's where all the headbanging happens. However, you can go out of that genre if the song is a special exception:

Screaming music is metal, unless you count post hardcore and all of these other subgenres of genres. Metal is the genre, then you have subgenre. The As I Lay Dying song "The Only Constant is Change" is a headbangable song. I was waiting outside my school after a club meeting on Tuesday, and I was headbaning like a champ. Y'all don't even know.

Well, you putting Pink Floyd isn't an exception. Head banging isn't just for metal. I head bang to The Doors so much that I get headaches.

PT has allot of good headbangers on In Absentia. Strip The Soul gets really fucking intense at the end. I think the lyrics kind of add onto it. The ending can be somewhat "unexpected" for people's first time listening to the song.

MM has allot of good headbanging stuff. I enjoy his music allot, which many people don't understand because everyone thinks I only listen to underground music. He's also a decent lyricist. The Reflecting God is probably his most intense song imo.

Ending this post with headbanging post metal.

I know, there's plenty of hard rock that's easily headbangable. I'm just saying a majority of headbangable music is metal, not... Bullet for my Valentine.

As great as Strip The Soul is, it has nothing on Deadwing to me. However, since it is off In Absentia, Strip The Soul gets brownie points for being on the most fuckawesome album ever created.

The second half of The Incident is pretty fucking head banging. Dammit, why didn't I mention my favorite PT song? (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ctHTYChevvs)

Okay, I didn't make exceptions. How about this - a lot of screaming music is metal but not all. There are some exceptions.

I actually dont listen to that much "headbanging" music. I think a lot of the music I listen to is more "headnodding" music.

I guess Rage Against the Machine would be a "headbanging" band that I listen to.

Well, most of RATM's songs are headbangable because most of their songs sound similar. I think they're a pretty good band but they lack variety(Battle of LA album would be a good example).
