"This message is being moderated?!?

I posted a message on a friends profile. First few times no problem and I have been able to chat and such. This time the message came up with "This message is being moderated" above it.

What does that mean and why is it only happening now? Have I done something wrong?

All VM's are modded, you have to wait until you get a certain amount of posts. It sucks, but it's a rule :P There nothing to worry about!

oh and also I think you need to be a member for a certain amount of time too...not sure

If it doesn't say it, usually mods have got to it as quick as you've posted, if not then you'll have to wait till one of us sees it and then we can approve or whatever action needs to be taken. To stop being moderated you need 250 posts and 3 months membership (I, myself aren't too sure about the time frame needed so you'll have to get that double checked.)

When messages are moderated, what is the moderators job, do you read them first and delete them if they are inappropriate?

We have to read everyone that is modded and if it's against rules it gets deleted and goes from there, if it's okay and can be approved, it goes through. If it needs reporting for senior staff to deal with that happens too, it all depends what's in the vm.

It's mildly annoying, yes. But I think it's more of an irritant to those under vm mod
