Say you're with someone who once made you happy and you loved them, but say now they don't really bring much happiness into your life anymore but you still love them/have strong feelings for them. would you/should you stay in the relationship?
is a relationship based on whether your partner makes you happy and you love them or is it just love vice versa etc.
sorry if my question sounds confusing.

if they are not making you happy, let them go, or find a way how they can make you happy. Do something extraordinary, spend more times with them, etc etc and seee how it all plays out

In my opinion, it's both.
'love' is a very evasive word. No one can really explain to you what it means/what it feels like. I hear a lot of different definitions and views on 'love' which makes me sort of sceptical of it :/
Having a boyfriend myself, I know I feel what I consider to be 'love' for him the most when we're at our happiest and saddest times, so I think emotions can affect 'love' within a relationship. Everyone is different though.
