I know how you feel, you just have to be careful
when you feel your ready come out of the closet and then maybe drop hints or something
hope it goes well

Hi and welcome to the forums!
Just be careful, don't freak him out or scare him off. Like said before, drop hints but don't be super crazy about. Because if he is str8 then that will really send the wrong message if you are blunt about it.
Again welcome and good luck!

Smartest way to go is by interogating him (not in the most obvious way about his love life) ask him what kind of girls he likes? hence if he negates the notion then you'll know something's up. Ask him if there are any girls he digs ; with this information one thing would be clear, that's if he's hetero or not. It would be risky to drop hints. What if he's not gay/bi and you make a fool out yourself? Asking INDIRECT questions is the way to go bru :)

If you guys aren't great friends yet, I would suggest that you work on that a little bit. From there you can build up trust and eventually decided about whether or not you want to come out to him. It's a very difficult step, I know. So be careful about it. But believe in yourself and you'll be great!
Good luck :)
