i would really like to have a forum based solely on religion. a know a lot of people have questions about religion growing up...me included. anyone agree?

I personally dont really see a need for it. Maybe a diary, or just post in twpr, but i havent really seen enough demand for a dedicated forum. Just my opinion though.

If you have questions on your religion, why not ask a religious official like a priest or rabbi? This is a more effective route than asking around on the internet. Having a forum dedicated to religion will bring all the atheists and agnostics to bitch about not having a forum for themselves and probably cause more fights. It wouldn't be worth it in the long run.

This. About 45% of VT's user population, according to the poll in that thread, is atheist or agnostic. Creating a religion thread would only start heated flamewars between our skeptic base and the occasional fundamentalists who pop up every now and then. While it's a good concept, VT doesn't seem to be the right environment for this sort of forum.

I just don't see it being an active forum, nor one that's easy to moderate. VT's active users, such as myself, are mainly irreligious. The only religious people here aren't very vocal about it.

well maybe just maybe they would be more vocal if they knew it was a subject in which it has its own threads...i kno i would use it because i love my religion...and other who just have question or just want to kno about god or people who want to kno more about gods and goddesses or want to kno more about not believing...i wouldn't mind sharing and learning about other beliefs

Put religious debate in ROTW. We don't have enough debates to seperate it into subforums really.

As Kyle said, ROTW is for religious discussions. Having a seperate forum has no benefit really i don't think.
